How To Refill Your Filter

Removing the Old Filter Contents

Tip: Use a plastic or metal bowl, and place everything on a wooden or plastic chopping board (not on stone or laminate surfaces).

  1. Make sure the water is turned off.
  2. Unscrew the shower hose from the shower head.
  3. Unscrew the shower filter from the wall connection, then unscrew the shower head from the filter.
  4. Remove the white wadding from inside the filter.
  5. To loosen the contents, gently tap the female-thread end of the filter on the chopping board. Important: Do not tap it on stone, laminate, or other hard surfaces.
  6. Hold the filter over a bin. Insert the wooden dowel into the male-thread end and push the old filter contents out.
  7. Rinse the inside of the filter to clean it.

Installing the New Filter Contents

Tip: It helps to do this in a plastic or metal bowl to catch any spills.

  1. Stand the empty filter casing upright in the bowl.
  2. Place the first filter disc inside, making sure it covers the outlet at the bottom.
  3. Pour the new filter refills into the filter casing.
  4. Insert the second filter disc on top.
  5. Install the filter following the original install instructions for your shower setup.
  6. Turn the water on and check for leaks. If needed, tighten the fittings a little more.

NOTE: Do not stand under the shower when turning the water on. This will flush out any dust from the filter. Let the shower run for a few minutes before use.

I had a Clean Conditioner fitted in December 2012. I have noticed that the glass and the wall tiles are very clean, with no soap scum sticking to the glass and tiles. The floor tiles are the same, no soap scum. The water is so much softer. After I have washed my hair is it shinny and very soft and I have noticed that I do not use as much shampoo. My Skin Doesn’t Itch Any More! My skin has always been itchy, especially after showering. I just put it down to my skin. My wife installed a Clean Conditioner unit in our shower without telling me and I happened to remark to her a few weeks later that I hadn't noticed any itchiness for a while. That's when she told me that conditioning the water with the Clean Conditioner meant no hard water minerals were left on my skin to make it itchy. We have had the Clean Conditioner installed for 5 months now and have had some fantastic results. We have noticed that we are using less shower gel/soap and getting great lather.
