Silver Impregnated Bacteriostatic Carbon Block Filter
These bacteriastatic filters deliver exceptionally low pressure drop while maintaining a high dirt holding capacity with excellent contaminant reduction capabilities. Coconut Carbon is rated to be one of the best base materials used in today’s market.
Silver Impregnated Carbon, on the other hand, is bacteriostatic – meaning that it is proven to inhibit the growth of carbon-fed bacteria within the filter to prevent bio-fouling and prolong the life of a cartridge – even while it is not being used! Bacteriostatic Silver Impregnated Carbon filters are therefore great for use with Caravans and are ideal for periods of time where the filter may go unused.
So, how does Silver Impregnation inhibit the growth of bacteria in a carbon filter? When bacteria come into contact with silver, the silver ions puncture the bacteria’s cell membrane and wreak havoc by binding to and denaturing the bacteria’s DNA.

Chloramine Reduction Carbon Block Filter
These Carbon block filters are a market leader when it comes to the removal of monochloramine from municipal water. Having a very low 0.5 micron nominal rating, this filter has a huge advantage due to the highly reactive surface area of the composite carbon designed to denature and neutralise chloramine with minimal contact time.
Free chlorine can be easily removed from water with minimal contact time, however now most municipal water supplies in Australia are using monochloramine.

NanoCeram® is a broad-spectrum particle adsorber that provides a dirt holding capacity that is a hundred times greater than conventional filters.
NanoCeram® filters utilise a highly electropositive filter silver impregnated carbon media that rapidly adsorbs particles, no matter how small. As a result, each NanoCeram® electropositive water filter has a high capacity for particles as large as tens of microns or as small as a few nanometers (sub micron and colloidal).
The nature of electropositive attraction is such that even with an average pore size of 2 – 3 microns the NanoCeram® Filter Cartridge exhibits an Absolute Rating of 0.2 microns – typically associated with ultra-porous membranes. Yet NanoCeram® flow rates are hundreds of times greater than such membranes.
