The Best Install Locations

It can be installed after the pressure pump and either before or after any water filtration. Consider installing the water conditioner in a location after the water connection point intersection so both tank and water connection water can be conditioned and softened prior to use.

It can also be installed in your water connection hose.

Water connection fittings are not supplied.

Permanent Install

When installing the Caravan/RV water conditioner in line the best location would be inline after the intersection of the water connection line and the line from the tank and pressure pump. Installing in this location makes sure that either tank water or water connection water is being conditioned. The Caravan/RV conditioner can be installed pre or post any water filtration you have.

Water Connection Hose Install

You will need to purchase a couple of horsetail fittings to suit your water connection hose. The Caravan/RV water conditioner would be best installed within 1 meter from the end of the hose that connects to your water connection point or tank filler.

What Is Hard Water?

All water supplies contain minerals.

The two most common minerals found in water are calcium and magnesium.

Water containing a high concentration of minerals known as hard water.

Hard water will cause damaging scale problems in any water carrying system.

What Is Soft Water?

Water that has a low mineral count is commonly known as soft water.

Soft water has a lower pH (like coke) and so can be acidic.

Left untreated soft water will cause corrosion of pipes and fittings in any water carrying system.

I only installed the Softerwater unit via the inlet hose to the caravan and just left the unit sitting on the ground under the caravan.
I could feel the difference immediately the way my special liquid soap reacted – foaming up beautifully and having to use less (which is a small saving)!
I have psoriasis and the hardness of the water really reacted badly on my skin, and since installing the unit I really notice a big difference with much less Psoriasis scales on the patches.
We have been living on properties where we had only rainwater, so I do know the difference between running rainwater and running town water. Using this unit feels the same as running rainwater.
